A tiny private house stands on a vast plot of 1.000m2, 130km distant from Ho Chi Minh City where the residents used to live. As the population skyrockets in the megacity, this outer fringe of suburbs are now considered the frontline of urbanization, but still with limited resources and technology. Learning from the "average built environment" here and how it is crafted and inhabited, the project seeks to be the Industrial vernacular of today. The small concrete box is covered by the overhanged steel roof, further extended by a forest of steel columns, where translucent fabrics cast everchanging shadows on the earth. The residents called this environment a house of 1.000m2.
